Class Descriptions
Gentle Divya Yoga
Hatha flow classes designed for students who are new to yoga and for those that may have some experience. The instructor will show variations of postures suitable for both levels. An easy-does-it class with emphasis on breath, warm-ups that loosen stiff joints, and yoga poses that improve balance, strength, flexibility and tone. See the full benefits of yoga.
Intermediate Divya Yoga
A more challenging practice class. Intermediate yoga emphasizes Sun Salutations, sequencing of poses, alignment, preparation for more advanced asanas, breath work and deepening awareness.
Prenatal / Pregnancy Yoga
Yoga is an ideal exercise for all stages of pregnancy. Classes are taught with an emphasis on increasing body and breath awareness, learning pain management, prenatal bonding, and relaxation techniques to promote the well-being of yourself and your baby. Gentle, safe movements and stretches are designed to strengthen and open the body, allowing you to meet the challenges and transformations of pregnancy with confidence and calm. Postures are presented with variations appropriate for all stages of pregnancy. See the full Prenatal Yoga page for benefits and birth-prep techniques, and our Prenatal Yoga FAQ.
Postnatal Mom & Baby Yoga
A gentle way to help your body recover from childbirth while bonding with your baby. Special attention is placed on rebuilding core strength of the back, abdomen, and pelvic floor, as well as relieving tension in the neck and shoulders caused by lifting, carrying and nursing. No previous yoga experience is required. Babies welcome from newborn to crawling (around 7–10 months). See the full Postnatal Yoga page.
Infant Massage Workshop
A series teaching new parents simple, soothing infant massage techniques. Covers the full body, including reflexology points for digestion and sleep. Babies benefit from improved sleep, eased colic, neurological development, and a strong nurturing bond with their parents. More about Infant Massage →
