Testimonials

What our students say

I had read a book on infant massage, but couldn’t seem to work it into our daily routines. The classes “broke the ice” for me in a sense, and now I can use the techniques spontaneously: Our baby girl has difficulty “shutting down” at bedtime, and massage helps work out some of her nervous energy; she especially likes her back rubbed. Our baby boy would wake up at night and become restless and unable to fall back asleep; I found that massaging the insides of his feet-which he especially liked-brought him back into a state of calm that would bring back the drowsiness…

Theo (mother of 8-month old twins at the time of classes)

I tend to join a yoga class and then not go. With Elyse Tannenbaum’s class I became hooked from the very beginning. Her hatha yoga based method is the only type of yoga that has truly spoken to my body… I feel more energized and more relaxed after every class, and my body pains tend to diminish. Thank you Elyse for your dedication to sharing your message by teaching yoga — taking care of myself inside & out goes a long long way.

Andrea

I started taking yoga classes with Elyse about a year ago in her prenatal yoga class. Once my daughter was 10 weeks old, I started taking the mom and baby yoga class. The exercises really help relieve with the aches and pains of new motherhood as well as to build strength in our bodies again. Even if your baby fusses, Elyse makes sure that you stay calm and continue to focus on the class. The babies also enjoy their own portion of the class with baby yoga and massage! I learned many techniques that I use at home on a daily basis! It’s a lot of fun and great way to connect with your new baby!
